A message from Shannon

It's an honor and a privilege to perform the gorgeous words of the incomparable Reina Hardy, to get the chance to work under the direction of the incredibly talented Liz Fisher, and work with a group of such gifted and dedicated artists on The Afterparty. My cup is overflowing that I have the chance to work with such an amazing group of people. The Afterparty is an excellent opportunity to fulfill Shrewd's mission of producing new work, exploring new methods of creating and communicating with the audience, and serving as a megaphone for women-identified artists. I'm so grateful to everyone involved.

About Shannon Grounds

Shannon Grounds is an actor, producer, director and designer living in Austin, Texas. She is the Producing Artistic Director of Shrewd Productions, and a company member of Vortex Repertory and Hyde Park Theatre. She has won a few awards and been nominated for many others for both acting and producing, and she hopes that makes you think she's a little bit fancy. Most recently, Shannon performed the role of the Dark Queen in Agent Andromeda: the Orion Crusade (also by Reina Hardy!) and produced and performed in the Austin premiere of Lauren Gunderson's The Revolutionists (both shows directed by Rudy Ramirez!), winning the B. Iden Payne award for Best Production of a Comedy.
