About Kevin

Still a relatively new arrival to Austin, Kevin’s only local credit was with The City Theatre’s recent production of The Musical Comedy Murders of 1940. Kevin has performed across the country in a variety of disciplines including circus, dance, and opera. A big proponent of high-quality performance for and with young audiences (death to pedantic singing/dancing vegetables!), Kevin spends his time offstage working as a Teaching Artist.

Why are you excited about this production of As You Like It?

When you’re in an audition and you feel excited about a play because of the care given to the text by the director and your fellow actors – you know something really good is about to happen. It's incredibly rewarding working on this production with a group of artists who offer the best of their craft, a genuine respect for each other, and a true commitment to exploring the words, emotions, and relationships Shakespeare created. This sort of project doesn’t come along every day, and I am pleased to be part of it. Especially exciting about this production is the artists’ embrace of the timelessness of the story and characters in the play, without getting bogged down by the “tradition” of Shakespeare (who was, himself, pretty nontraditional).
