Meet the Cast - Kyron Hayes as Dad
Kyron M. Hayes plays Dad in JUMP, now presented by Shrewd as part of her NNPN rolling world premiere.
A message from Kyron
I am excited to appear as Dad in this production of Jump. This is my first stage production in many years and cannot wait to share this story with audiences. I have had several friends who were and are battling depression and I am glad to be helping tell a story that examines mental health awareness and how we can miss the signs that someone needs help.
I applaud Charly Evon Simpson for centering a Black family in the story while still focusing on the main issues of mental health. I am also grateful to our director, the fabulous Shannon Grounds, for helping me bring out the voice of “Dad” and show the character’s journey through his grief.
